Pintón Turrón de Ajonjolí (Sesame Nougat Bar)

The sesame nougat you remember, made the way it has always been made. Pintón uses three ingredients and nothing else: sesame seeds, granulated sugar and honey. The seeds are milled into a fine paste, and that is what gives the bar its dense body and its dulce de leche colour — it breaks into thick pieces and melts in your mouth without being cloying.
